Older, Bolder, Better – The Highlights!

A RECORD AMOUNT WAS RAISED!

  • 70 exhibitors and vendors, 262 lunches, donations, raffles, the silent auction, 50/50, book and puzzle sale, and memberships.
  • The silent auction at OBB was well attended. We had 42 items donated by local businesses and members, with a total estimated value of $5,225. A sum of $2,027 was raised, surpassing amounts raised over the past 2 silent auctions at OBB.

 

 

 

WE HAD A RECORD FOR ATTENDANCE!

  • An amazing 600 OBB programs were handed out to attendees. If we add the vendors, exhibitors, all the volunteers and staff, we had at least 750-800 people!
  • Every room was bustling.  Our main gym had 40 exhibitors, Our Harry Farmer room featured vendors selling tupperware, 5th Avenue Jewellery, Epicure, Norwex, Soup, Scarves and more!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Our Meeting Room featured local politicians Andrew Knack and Kelly McCauley as well as WSAC committees and other non profit organizations

 

  • Our Arts & Craft Room featured long time members Ross L who was selling his amazing woodworking products and the wonderful ladies from our Mitten Crew!

 

 

VENDOR HIGHLIGHTS

Aligra Wine and Spirits was here, having wine tasting for attendees and Seniors Home Care By Angels were giving free flowers to all the ladies in attendance!  Daisy Chain Book Co. was also on hand and survived the rain, selling books from their amazing mobile book store! Worry Free Plumbing graciously provided popcorn to attendees, handing out over 500 bags of freshly popped popcorn!

 

GUEST SPEAKERS

The new Minister of Seniors and Housing, the Hon. Josephine Pon was one of our Guest Speakers.  Louis Bloom from Chartwell gave a presentation on the Wish of A Lifetime and Bruce Bowie entertained a full house with some great stories!

Major sponsors of WSAC and OBB, Chartwell Wescott provided a Photo Booth for the day.  It was busy all day and even our Marketing Coordinator Lorena S. and longtime member Ross L. found some time to take a photo!
