Our centre hosted our annual Christmas Dinner yesterday and what a wonderful time!

Our centre staff and Special Events committee members spent the morning setting the gym up for the dinner.
The Quirky Quillers made some adorable table markers for all the tables!

Our events would not be possible without our amazing volunteers.  Take a peek at the “reindeer noses” everyone received!
We also had some fun activities for people to do with their table mates too.

Over 180 people attended the event.  It was so nice looking across our gym and seeing so many people wearing everything lovely red outfits, Christmas ties and ugly Christmas sweaters!  Everyone agreed that our Executive Director Haidong Liang had the best Christmas sweater of the day!  MLA Jon Carson joined us again this year for the festivities and brought a beautiful poinsetta for the centre’s front area…thank you Jon!

The meal was prepared and served by the Culinary students of Jasper Place High School and it was wonderful!
A full traditional Christmas dinner…turkey, potatoes, stuffing, coleslaw, gravy and cranberries.

Dessert was wonderful too!  Carrot cake with some very tasty cream cheese icing, buttertarts and shortbread cookies.

Once dinner was done we listened and sang along with the WSAC choir.  It was so beautiful listening to the traditional Christmas songs

Thank you to everyone who attended our event!  We hope you had a wonderful afternoon at our centre.
