A Unique Way To Support Seniors!

During the week of February 3rd, the Tyr ITF Taekwon-Do club held  a Board Breaking Week!   The public was given the opportunity to support this unique event.  For every $10 that was pledged, the Taekwon-do club would break one board.
An amazing a grand total of $3212 was raised with 50% ($1606) being donated to the West End Senior’s Activity Centre (the other half will go to the Red Cross).
When we spoke with the club owner, Bruce Csanyi, he told us that they donated to the West End Senior’s Activity Centre as “we believe in empowering and improving the lives of our eldest members of society. The other half will be going to the Australian Wildfire Relief via the Red Cross to help out with the tragic situation over there that is affecting so many thousands of people. I am proud of our group and we hope to raise a reasonable amount of money to help out any way we can, because as martial artists, we believe that the ultimate goal is to make the world a better place and to help others.
WSAC would like to send a huge thank you to Bruce, his instructors and students for their generosity!
If you or someone you know is interested in Taekwon-Do, please consider taking the time to visit their club’s website to learn more!
