Did you join us for our party to celebrate our partnership with Drive Happiness and their wonderful volunteers?

It was a full house with over 160 guests attending our party!

What an wonderful afternoon!  WSAC and Drive Happiness arrived early Saturday morning to set up for our afternoon party.  Our wonderful kitchen chef Desirae and her volunteers were in early making some tasty sandwiches and soup while the rest of us set up our gymnasium for the party!

We had a full house of guests including local politicians Jon Carson, Andrew Knack and Lori Sigurdson.

One of the reasons for our party was to celebrate the volunteer drivers for Drive Happiness.  DH Executive Director Liza Bouchard surprised her long time volunteers with certificates of appreciation and 1 year memberships for our centre!

The meal was lovely…an assortment of sandwiches, home made soup and some wonderful cupcakes courtesy of Crave Cupcakes!  There was some wonderful entertainment throughout our meal with performances by

ICAN Seniors – Tai Chi Fan Performance

Xiaoqi Feng performing with Chinese musical instruments

Ella Lu – Dancing With Paint Performance

Drive Happiness Executive Director Liza Bouchard, artist Ella Lu and Westend Seniors Activity Centre (WSAC)  Executive Director Dr. Haidong Liang

And…the lovely cupcakes for dessert!
